This part should be replaced with, the three inch heat exchanger, Universal part number 299835, except in the case of the M-25XP. With the M-25XP replace with 302631

Complaints have been received related to the use of the two inch exchanger on some early model engines regarding high water operating temperatures (above 190 degrees F). The complaints include overheating when operatingthe at high or maximum rated engine r.p.m.

These complaints are possibly related tothe heat exchanger size used on these early models. One should keep in mind that there are other components and areas of the engine's cooling system that could cause or contribute to high operating temperatures and overheating.

We suggest replacing the two inch exchanger with the three inch Universal heat exchanger, part number 299835, except in the case of the M-25XP. With the M-25XP replace with 302631.
